Генеральный директор ЮНЕСКО Ирина Бокова подтвердила свое участие в VI InterEcoForum, который пройдет в Марбелье 23 и 24 марта.
Бокова, родилась в столице Болгарии в 1952 году, училась в престижном Институте международных отношений в Москве (МГИМО). Также она является выпускницей университетов Мэриленд и Гарвард.
Выдающийся дипломат, почетный доктор 33 университетов и академий по всему миру, за свою долгую карьеру на международной арене она всегда выступала за развитие диалога и сотрудничества между странами в сфере образования, культуры, науки и дипломатии, что сделало её одной из самых влиятельных женщин в мире.
Госпожа Бокова была избрана Генеральным директором ЮНЕСКО в 2009 году и переизбрана на второй срок в 2013. Она принимает активное участие в международных усилиях по обеспечению гендерного равенства и качественного образования для всех, борьбы с финансированием терроризма путем предотвращения незаконного оборота культурных ценностей. Ирина Бокова – лидер в борьбе с расизмом и антисемитизмом, возглавила деятельность ЮНЕСКО, посвященную сохранению памяти и повышению знаний о Холокосте и впервые в истории Организации назначила Специального посланника по просвещению по вопросам Холокоста.
Она является активным сторонником качественного образования для всех и возглавляет борьбу за гендерное равенство – ее личный приоритет в работе Организации. Среди деятельности в других направлениях работы - содействие научно-техническому сотрудничеству в интересах устойчивого развития, особенно управление системами раннего предупреждения о цунами или соглашение об использовании трансграничных вод в интересах укрепления мира и безопасности, вопросы глобальной мобилизации для обеспечения безопасности журналистов и свободы выражения мнений.
ЮНВТО (Всемирная Туристическая Организация) и Организация Объединенных Наций по вопросам образования, науки и культуры (ЮНЕСКО) подписали в 2013 году новое соглашение о сотрудничестве, которое консолидирует усилия в области устойчивого туризма и охраны культурного и природного наследия. В результате этого соглашения обе организации решили провозгласить 2017 год Годом устойчивого туризма в целях развития.
Госпожа Бокова примет участие в закрытии VI InterEcoForum 24 марта.
Ирина Бокова говорит на пяти языках, включая русский. Хотим обратить особое внимание на значимость Института международных отношений МГИМО, который является соорганизатором InterEcoForum, однако, за пределами Испании широко известен лишь на дипломатическом уровне. Ректор МГИМО господин Анатолий Торкунов является одним из наставников Ирины Боковой.
Irina Bokova will participate in the VI InterEcoForum in Marbella in March
Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova has confirmed her participation in the VI InterEcoForum in Marbella on 23 and 24 of March.
Madame Bokova, born in the capital of Bulgaria in 1952, studied at the prestigious Institute of International Relations in Moscow (MGIMO University), the center of administrative elite and Russian politics as well as former republics of the Soviet Union and other Eastern European countries. She also graduated universities of Maryland and Harvard.
Being a great diplomat, honorary doctor of 33 universities and academies around the world, during her long career on the international scene, she developed a multitude of responsibilities related to Culture, Education and Diplomacy since 1982, which makes her one of the most influential women in the world.
Elected as Director-General of UNESCO in 2009 and re-elected for a second term in 2013, Madame Bokova actively participates in international efforts to promote gender equality and quality education for all and combating the finance of terrorism by preventing the smuggling of cultural goods. Irina Bokova, a leader in the fight against racism and anti-semitism, has led the activities of UNESCO in the field of memory and awareness of the Holocaust and for the first time in the history of the Organization, she appointed a Special Envoy for Holocaust Education.
She is a strong supporter for quality education for all and promotes gender equality as her personal priority within the Organization. Among her foreground areas of work are also promotion of scientific cooperation for sustainable development especially through early warning systems for tsunamis or transboundary water resources - management of water resources and global mobilization for security of journalists and freedom of expression.
World Tourism Organization (WTO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2013 forged a new cooperation agreement that consolidates efforts in sustainable tourism and protection of natural and cultural heritage. The result ended in both organizations with a decision to proclaim 2017 the Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

We place special emphasis on the importance of the Institute of International Relations in Moscow (MGIMO University) as a co-organizer of InterEcoForum, abroad mainly known in diplomatic circles. La Directora General de la UNESCO, Irina Bokova, ha confirmado su participación en el VI InterEcoForum que tendrá lugar en Marbella el 23 y 24 de marzo.
Bokova, nacida en la capital de Bulgaria en 1952, estudió en el prestigioso Instituto de Relaciones Internacionales de Moscú (MGIMO), el centro de la élite administrativa y política rusa y de las ex repúblicas de la antigua URSS y otros países del Este europeo. También ha realizado estudios en las universidades de Maryland y Harvard.
Se trata por tanto de una gran diplomática, doctora honoris por 33 universidades y academias de todo el mundo, con una larga carrera en el ámbito internacional ha desarrollado multitud de responsabilidades vinculadas a la Cultura, la Educativo y la Diplomacia desde 1982, lo que la han forjado como una de las mujeres más influyentes del mundo.
Elegida Directora General de UNESCO en 2009 y reelegida para un segundo mandato en 2013, Bokova participa activamente en las iniciativas internacionales encaminadas a promover la igualdad de género y la educación de calidad para todos y luchar contra la financiación del terrorismo impidiendo el tráfico ilícito de bienes culturales. Irina Bokova, adalid de la lucha contra el racismo y el antisemitismo, ha liderado las actividades de la UNESCO en el ámbito de la memoria y la concienciación sobre el Holocausto y, por primera vez en la historia de la Organización, ha nombrado un Enviado Especial para la Educación sobre el Holocausto.
Es una firme defensora de la educación de calidad para todos y ha promovido personalmente la igualdad de género como prioridad de la Organización. Entre sus ámbitos de trabajo figuran también el fomento de la cooperación científica para el desarrollo sostenible -especialmente por medio de los sistemas de alerta temprana contra los tsunamis o los acuerdos de gestión de los recursos hídricos transfronterizos- y la movilización mundial en favor de la seguridad de los periodistas y la libertad de expresión.
La OMT (Organización Mundial del Turismo) y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO) forjaron en 2013 un nuevo acuerdo de cooperación que consolida los esfuerzos realizados en materia de turismo sostenible y de protección del patrimonio natural y cultural. Fruto del cual ambas organizaciones decidieron proclamar 2017 como el Año del Turismo Sostenible.
Bokova clausurará el VI InterEcoForum el 24 de marzo en el Hotel Meliá Don Pepe de Marbella.
